Dr. Somer Lyons

Dr. Lyons received her Doctor of Optometry degree from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN. She has been in practice in Minden since 2003. She is a member of the American Optometric Association, the Nevada Optometric Association and is an InfantSEE provider. When not at the office, Dr. Lyons hangs out with her husband, daughters and dogs.

Dr. Amanda Brewer

Dr. Brewer joined Valley Eyecare & Eyewear Gallery in 2018. She earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from Midwestern University where she was elected as a member of Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society. Dr. Brewer completed her residency at UC Berkeley by caring for veterans at the Reno Veterans Association. She is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Nevada Optometric Association. Dr. Brewer's passions are glaucoma management and fitting specialty contact lenses. She can see the entire family as she examines 6-month-olds up to 103!

Outside of work, She loves nothing more than spending time with her husband, 3-year-old son, Adam, and her new baby, Sofia! She loves soaking in the sunshine and hanging out with the family tortoise, dog, and cat.
